Customer Reviews

  • "this was nice and the portion is good also"

    Mrs Fisher, lancs
  • "The plaice has been consistently juicy, fresh, quite thick and my favourite; excellent. But boiled potatoes never seem to cook well and are not the best potato accompaniment; mash or chips or fried potato cubes please. Adrien"

    Dr Youell, Camberley
  • "I agree entirely with Dr. Youell - a very good meal somewhat spoiled by the potatoes. Mash or fried potato cubes would give a rating of excellent."

    Mr Hollaway, PRESTON
  • "Was nicely surprised, have not ordered plaice for a while, plaice is tastier and breadcrumbs made well"

    Miss Allton, Coventry
  • "A delicious piece of fish. I found the mass of peas rather unexciting and would have liked to see a few beans mixed in, or maybe a little diced swede. However, this is still one of my favourites and well worth a four star rating."

    Mr Ellingsworth, WARMINSTER
  • "This is a delicious meal but from personal preference would prefer croquette potatoes rather than boiled ones which tend to be a bit hard at times."

    Ms Gregory, TROWBRIDGE
  • "The plaice is brilliant, but I agree with the other reviews, the boiled potatoes spoil this meal. I agree with dr. Youell, chips or pried potato cubes would be loads better. sandra orrock - arbroath"

    Mrs ORROCK, Arbroath
  • "A very nice meal (including the boiled potatoes) it`s going on my `favourites list`."

    Mr Hannon, Dunston
  • "Although this meal is a favourite of mine I feel it could be improved by the addition of another vegetable possibly carrot."

    Mr KING, Leyburn
  • "found the peas hard, and there were too many of them, and the potatoes were hard as well. Agree with others, would be better with mash or diced potatoes and more varied vegetables"

    Mrs Poynton, Bath
  • "Love the fish its my favorite, but i agree about the potatoes, it makes a very dry meal...i always add loads of butter.."

    Mrs Trim, Stonehouse
  • "Nice meal but need gravy or sauce."

    Mr Barber, Clare Sudbury
  • "This has to be my favourite meal so far. The plaice tastes fantastic and thee just about the right amount of potatoes and peas. I loved the fact that it wasn't with chips or mash - made a lovely change. Keep it up 10/10"

    Mr cooper, Luton
  • "My absolute favourite - plaice is thick and juicy and potatoes just right - love it"

    Mr cooper, Luton
  • "This is one of my favourite meals."

    Mr Sharman, Twickenham
