We're pleased to announce that along with our parent company apetito, we've won another Queen's Award!
History of the Award
Operating since 1966 and awarded to businesses selected for outstanding achievements, winners of the Queen’s Award are selected based on the advice of the Prime Minister and an Advisory Committee to the Queen. Winners are announced annually on 21st April - Her Majesty’s birthday!
Why we've won!
We’ve won our award for Sustainable Development, meaning we produce our delicious meals in an ethical and sustainable way, always with a passion for service. Here are some ways we’re making a real difference.
Local Produce
Good food always starts with great ingredients, so we’re proud to support the British Food and Farming industry where we can, for example, all of our peas are 100% British. Plus, over 90% of our meals are made in Wiltshire - our home for over 25 years.
Sustainable
We try to prepare our meals in a way that respects the environment, our suppliers and of course our customers. Not only is 100% of our fish sustainably sourced, but we’re founding members of the UK Plastics Pact - and we work with WRAP and other leading organisations to tackle the recycling challenge.
Increasing Health and Wellbeing
Our chefs and in-house dietitian work together to make sure your meals are both tasty and nutritious. We’re proud to cater for a variety of appetites, from Hearty Meals to our awardwinning Mini Meals Extra range, as well as a range of dietary needs, including our previous Queen’s Awardwinning Softer Foods ranges - created for those with swallowing difficulties.
