This year marks an incredible milestone for Wiltshire Farm Foods as we celebrate 35 years of bringing delicious meals to customers across the UK. To mark the occasion, we're taking a trip back to 1991 – the year it all began.
A lot has changed over the past three and a half decades. From the launch of the world's first website to shopping trips to Woolworths and Friday nights spent browsing the shelves at Blockbuster, life looked very different back then. Yet throughout all that change, one thing has stayed the same: our passion for helping customers enjoy the food they love in the comfort of their own homes.

Back in the 90s, the high street was the heart of every town. Big-name department stores such as Debenhams and British Home Stores were go-to destinations for everything from new outfits to home essentials, while Woolworths was a firm family favourite.
Weekends often meant a trip into town, browsing the shops and treating yourself to a bag of Pick 'n' Mix before heading to Blockbuster to choose a film for the evening. With no streaming services and limited television channels, selecting the perfect VHS for family movie night was a serious decision!
Whether you were searching for the latest chart CD, picking up school supplies or simply enjoying a day out, the high street offered something for everyone. While many of those familiar names have since disappeared, the memories of Saturday shopping trips remain a cherished part of life in the 1990s.

Looking back at 1991 reminds us just how much the world has changed over the past 35 years and how far we've come. Since delivering our very first meal, we've grown from a small idea into a trusted nationwide service, now offering more than 300 dishes. Every meal is prepared with care and delivered by a friendly local driver, helping us remain part of our customers' everyday lives.
