Meal storage & cooking instructions

Because our meals are frozen immediately after preparation the goodness is ‘locked in,’ so they can be enjoyed at your leisure, confident in the knowledge you can have a piping hot, tasty and nutritious meal in minutes.

Our main meals and desserts can all be stored for 18 months from point of production in the freezer, with the exception of pork products or those manufactured using pork derivatives.

Any items containing pork are best kept for 9 months after production. Always check the ‘best before’ date on the film lid of the product to be sure.

Cooking Instructions

The majority of our meals and hot desserts can be heated straight from the freezer in a conventional oven, microwave, specially designed Mikrofix or by steaming in our special Servtherm, with the exception of the following items which are oven cook only:

667 Chicken Leek & Double Gloucester Pie
636 Dauphinois Potatoes
632 Aberdeen Angus Steak & Ale Pie
647 Lamb Hotpot
648 West Country Pie
633 Luxury Fish Pie

Most meals take 8 to 12 minutes in a microwave or 35 minutes in an oven, without piercing or removing the film lid. Please refer to the cooking guidelines on the label before heating.

Cold desserts take around 2 hours to defrost.
