The British Summer Time is living up to its reputation, and with the prospect of more rain we were reminded of the recent flooding.
Wiltshire Farm Foods in Worcestershire managed to maintain a 100 per cent record of delivery during the recent floods.
We’re proud to report our dedicated drivers ensured that not one of you went hungry, even though roads throughout the area were impassable.
We appreciate that thousands of you rely on us, and with many marooned during the recent extreme conditions our service has become even more crucial, particularly in the worst-hit areas such as Upton-upon-Severn.
Director Graham Davis praised his team of eight drivers for ensuring that no deliveries were missed in the appalling weather.
He said: “It meant wading through water and making massive detours but I’m delighted to say that none of our customers were let down.
Because many of them are elderly, our service is a life line - especially at such difficult times as these.
In addition to our meals, we took them other vital supplies like bread and milk.”
Graham, who has been running the business for 16 years, added: “We’ve had challenges in the past but never anything on this scale.
Maintaining our service has meant all hands on deck by I’m very proud of the way the team has pulled together.”
And so are we- if you have any flood stories, or witnessed your drivers going the extra mile then share it with us…
Hello. I would like to thank your dedicated team for managing to get the meals to my Gran during the recent floods. My gran is a resident of Catcliffe which was badly affected. Without the meals then I really do not know what she would have done.
Thanks a million
